We still don’t know how much of Oblivion they actually recreated, considering it’s rumored to be made in UE5 which is a completely different engine. I’m most worried about open world and “immersive” elements such as Radiant AI and NPC schedules, proper wildlife AI, etc.
My theory is getting more engineers familiar with the unified UE5 and Gamebryo. This has likely been in the works before ESVI was the primary focus for the bulk of the team and many of those engineers were reassigned to ESVI as this neared completion.
Depending on how the remaster goes, Skyblivion might still be the better game.
more than a 50% chance based off the games post skyrim
*including Skyrim

Apparently somehow only the graphics are done in Unreal, the rest is still in Creation.
That’s what I’m thinking as well.
Why remaster Oblivion now? Why not wait after Elder Scrolls VI? I’m sure that’ll be released this century.

Honestly it sounds like they did change a lot like how combat works so the experience may be different enough anyway
If it’s actually in ue5, then skyblivion wins hands down.
