Darn, I really like warhorse’s potential.
The Henry Game (as I call it) is so medieval it hurts. It is a work of art, but it’s not my favorite theme. I really want to see how they branch out.
What I would give for them to make a Shadowrun game…
I’m really excited to see their upcoming Lord of the Rings game
What I would give for them to make a Shadowrun game…
That’d be pretty dope. Especially if there was a scene in which a couple of ogres sing a song about the PC.
Wouldn’t happen to be in response to the co-lead talking shit, would it?
He’s been talking utter shit for past 5+ years…
Wouldn’t know. Only heard about the recent advocating for even higher game prices, as if this hobby isn’t already getting prohibitively expensive.
Dan is very talented game developer/writer, undoubtedly. I loved his games from og Mafia to KCD, where he has a strong vision and follows it no matter what, which puts a soul to these games.
But other than that? Oh boy, he’s such a difficult person, aka an asshole to the max. Hateful, narcissistic mr knowitall who spits conspiracy shit. And everyone who oppose him gets banned on his platforms, which earned him nickname Ban/Baniel Vavra (instead of Dan/Daniel).
Thanks for the info. I didn’t know anything about him. I took one look at KCD and thought it was too tedious. Gave KCD2 a couple of hours try and felt very validated in my earlier assessment.
So many devs are like this…
I dunno. As long as the other devs involved are ultimately treated well, and the end result of their vision is good, I can live with an asshole dev.
But I guess there’s an existential risk of their personality “taking over.”
As I said, I respect him as a dev. But apart from that he’s such an asshole. Most likely aiming for career in politics next elections on top of all.
To be honest, the price of most games is not any more prohibitively expensive than they always were, in fact in many cases they are much cheaper. It’s more than everything else in life in more expensive and wages aren’t keeping up.
edited to fix auto-correct typos.
While the last sentence is very true, it’s a failing of pricing to understand the segment they need to fit into. If the product is so expensive to make that they price themselves out, there’s an indication there’s a problem with their own budgeting.
I don’t disagree, but I think it’s a tough situation. Games have evolved so much and while there are many, many incredible indie games without all the bells and whistles of a modern cutting-edge games, I do think it’s still an important segment of the market and one that people are still buying.
I read that as “cyberTRUCK” and was like “The whole dev team?”
