I got a copy of PRAGMATA for my b’day so I’m playing that. It’s not yet “patient” but it’s fun still. I am having graphics issues on Linux but hope they get fixed with Nvidia driver updates someday. Game gives me a similar feeling like Titanfall 2 single player.

I played nier replicant having played automata recently and can’t say the story really grabbed me.
Currently reattempting Detroit:Become Human. Very cinematic. Very tropey and am expecting the story to go in a predictable direction but we will see.
It has really grabbed me. For years I’ve been looking for a game that’s like a single player MMO and here it is (no, Kingdoms of Amalur is not the answer, sorry internet). No surprise I guess to find that in an MMO that was turned into a single player/co-op game after their publisher ditched them (Digital Extremes).
The combat is fun. There’s lots to grind for - weapons, armor, accessories, echoes, cosmetics, mounts, furnishings for your apartment. The art is quite reminiscent of World of Warcraft and also of Airship Syndicate’s other games like Ruined King (also a fantastic game) and Battlechasers: Nightwar. The music is quite background but at times reminded me of Jeremy Soul’s original Guild Wars 2 score.
The performance is not great. With some research I managed to get it to run at 90-110 FPS consistently in open world (with an RX9070 and i7-9700k). In dungeons it runs better. There’s still some UE5 stutters there when you enter new areas and at some random moments but overall it runs well enough.
It’s gotta be the best £3 I’ve spent in a long time! I’m 55 hours in and there’s still a whole zone that I haven’t gotten to yet.
I’m gonna check this out tomorrow as your description sounds interesting. I have been watching Erenshor as a single player MMO experience but havent actually tried it yet. You may want to have a look at that if you havent hears of it :)
Palworld 1.0 came out. The new content has been good so far. I’m glad to have started over from the beginning, although I wasn’t too far in.
I finally had some time for games again this past week so I’ve been playing Hitman: World of Assassination. I’ve played it a lot before but mostly on Xbox (around 1500 hours I think? Something like that anyway). Now I’m going for all the steam achievements. I’ve still got all the Mastery Level 20 and Sniper Assassin ones to get, but otherwise there’s just a couple random weird assassination ones and I’m done. A lot of them have been pretty easy to get if you know Hitman well. The ones I’m missing though (aside from the random niche assassination ones) are all time sinks so it may be a while before I get 100%, but I’m determined now. Hopefully I get them all before I’m burnt out or get busy again.
Soulframe became available to the public and i joined the rabble going in. It’s fun, but slow and grindy. Also very confusing.
As an alpha state game it’s also full of bugs and incomplete content. .I do recommend it though.I used the recent Steam sale to grab Civ 5 from recommendations here!
You all were right. It’s great! I definitely like it more than Civ 6.
Only Civ you’ll need for a long time, possibly ever. Already great out of the box (assuming you got all the expansions), and after a few hundred hours you got tons of mods to spice it up too.
A friend of mine recently hit 3k hours in Civ5, which I thought was pretty impressive, until I realized he’s almost at 12k hours in EU4, and now I’m worried for his sanity.
I did grab the expansions, hard not to with how cheap they were on sale!

Lords of the fallen . had to start over again since I got lost on where I was supposed to go Lol.
I started playing The Drifter this week. Don’t want to say too much about it without having completed it, but I’ve played through the first few chapters now (about a third of the way through) and so far it is living up to its reputation and then some.
- Initial impressions:
Great pixel art that is surprisingly expressive, some great animations and a nice synth soundtrack. Pace is breakneck and breathless, it often feels like you’re playing out a classic pulp thriller. Controls are great, it actually plays fantastically well on controller which is a rarity with these kinds of games. Writing is razor sharp, at times quite funny and the dialogue is actually good. The plot is interesting and as befitting the genre involves a conspiracy that keeps going deeper, although it’s too early to say how well it is tied up at the end. Voice acting is phenomenal throughout, and almost everything is voiced, too. The main character is great, and I love the noir-y internal monologue.
Puzzles and gameplay so far have been equally impressive. Not a single “moon logic” instance so far, every solution has been very logical. The internal monologue of the protagonist is also a great vehicle to deliver some subtle clues when you interact with things, or occasionally when you fail a certain puzzle a couple of times.
Overall I’m completely hooked.
You’ve convinced me to wishlist it. I don’t usually like pixel art but this one looks neat, and the rest of your review sold me on the idea. I’ll probably pick it up on a sale or something in the future.
If it keeps this quality through the whole game (which I’ve been told it does) I might end up dubbing it the best point-and-click of all time. It’s definitely going to ruin the genre for me when I next try another game and start running into frustrating nonsense puzzles.
