IIRC it showed up once before when the app ID was first added, but it had no associated store or news page.
Despite the rammagedon steam machine and probably inevitable steam frame prices, I think this is probably the coolest development Valve has invested into since its basically Waydroid + FEX which removes the dependency on libhoudini/libndk which would make a lot of mobile games playable on PC using ARM translation.
One such proven example being fortnite lol: https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/2115
Wait, FEX is bundled into this ? I was hoping it wouldn’t be this way so that we could use it to run Android apps and games on x86 using steam.
Nah it’s not, they just changed a bunch of stuff to make it work out of box with FEX which I’m pretty sure current waydroid can’t do, so it should work fine out of box on x86.
I also forgot FEX doesn’t work in reverse though. It only does x86 binary to ARM hardware like Box64, so we might end up using libhoudini anyway.
This is cool. I had forgotten about this.
Trouble is, when I hear about Lepton I keep thinking of the 1980s Repton games… ;-)
