Polyarc, a studio founded by ex-Bungie developers that's made a name for itself with two stellar VR games in its Moss series, is bringing both games to PC and consoles – no VR headset needed – in the form of Moss: The Forgotten Relic. The puzzle-platformer/action-adventure is due out this summer.
Tbh makes sense and this is a pretty massive sign of what’s to come. Most people simply don’t want to use VR headsets and with meta soon to leave the VR space I expect it to quickly become a technology relegated to hyper-nerds within the next five years (granted the grand majority of meta quest owners never actually use it).
I love my htc vive, I like* my psvr2, but my eyesight is so bad I cannot play without glasses any longer. And neither headset can be played with glasses, yes I can get custom glasses made that fit into the headset, but those are an additional cost which will need to be replaced again when my presentation changes.
*i say like because I have only used it less than an hour because of my eyesight.
I don’t mind using VR, but there is a larger barrier to use it versus just sitting in my chair and using my computer normally.
It’s funny that I totally agree with you, but I just realized that in a few minutes I’m putting on my full body tracking thigh highs, arm warmers, and sports bra so I can hang out and play games with my friends as a tiny dragon lol.
