Hi, I miss playing video games. Which tittles do you recommend for integrated intel hd2500 graphics on linux? I have 16 gb ram and a descent i5 core processor. Do I have to use steam?
Also can i get a recommendation about using mame emulators. os is ubuntu

Minecraft is always great. Or the free Luanti.
No idea how powerful that card is but everything up to Quake 3 should work. Maybe more. Unreal Tournament 99 and 2004 are free now and can be found on https://oldunreal.com/.
You don’t need Steam but it makes buying and installing games very easy. But you can also buy games on https://gog.com/ and install them with Heroic. It’s more or less as easy as with Steam.
Or you can just look through your distributions software repository. It should have plenty of free games.
In the end it really depends on what you’re looking for. “Games” is a vast field.
Luanti says that it requires a Intel UHD Graphics 630 GPU or comparable. That’s significantly more powerful than Intel HD 2500:

…though I agree that Luanti and Minecraft-type games in general are fun to try if you haven’t.
That being said, for anything in Ubuntu, I mean…there’s not much penalty to try it, aside from the download time. It’s free, so…shrugs
Yey for the Unreal Tournament. :)))
About native linux free games some i tried were hard on graphics so im not sure…
