Hi guys, As the title pretty much says, what is the correct way to keep your bazzite pc up to date with both software and hardware drivers? Do you just use the “updater” on their “marketplace” platform? Or is there a terminal code I should know of? (For instance, like OpenSUSE has the sudo zypper dup command)
This made me realize that the Bazzite updater is way less invasive than Windows updates. I know Windows updates are a low bar but it would grind my system to a halt at the worst time.
After a year and a half of Bazzite I haven’t noticed it downloading automatic updates
Ty
Wait is there a difference between
topgradeand
ujust update?
If you are in desktop mode, there is the “System update” app preinstalled, otherwise just run
topgradefrom the terminal. If you are in gaming mode, update as you would update SteamOS.
This should update all software and firmware. You will have to update your games separately, though.
FYI if OP is running Emudeck, a handful of the emulators are frustratingly installed as AppImages (not FlatPaks) and you will need to run Emudeck’s updater too.
Thank you!
Thank you for the quick replys man! I really appricite it! (And Bazzite)
