FYI if OP is running Emudeck, a handful of the emulators are frustratingly installed as AppImages (not FlatPaks) and you will need to run Emudeck’s updater too.

Funny you should ask, I am actually playing Galaxy for the first time right now!

All I can say is that I really enjoyed Sunshine and will probably finish 100%ing it one day. With the patches I mentioned it feels about as modern as Galaxy (I suppose they are only five years apart). But better or worse? I can’t yet say. I love the “Fludd” mechanic and find it really satisfying in 60fps.

I played it on Dolphin emulator with a 60fps patch and some HD textures. It aged really well.

EDIT: Also a widescreen patch!

CupHead is coming up on ten years old and I don’t think it has ever dipped below $10 on Steam.

Most of my 2025 was Silksong actually, but for only $20 it felt like a patient gamer moment!

Compared to Windows. To be clear I’m just basing that on vibes, and I haven’t done any 1:1 testing, but it’s absolutely not any worse than Windows with everything I’ve tried. But also, even if it was slightly worse, the benefit of almost never needing a mouse/keyboard still would make it worth it.

Honestly, I like Bazzite because it’s very controller and gaming friendly and you won’t be disappointed with it. That said, for a daily driver workstation computer you might want to try Fedora Kinoite which is very similar but focused towards desktop use.

Also it doesn’t hurt to try both as I said they’re very similar! Would love to hear a follow up on your experience.

I’ve been trying out Bazzite with an Nvidia GPU and performance is slightly better but the overall experience is significantly improved over windows.
