Uncharted 4 Collection. Bought on sale on GOG. It’s basically Pitfall (for those who remember), but 3D and with good graphics. 😬

Never played an Uncharted game before. It’s been good fun so far.

It run out of the box on Linux with the Heroic Games Launcher and latest Proton GE.

If I recall correctly, Descent 3 was made by another developer team and it was quite a different game. But Descent 1 and 2 are favorites of mine. Some of the original developers made Overload. Try it, if you haven’t already.

I buy from Steam because of the excellent Linux support, and Steam input.

I buy from GOG because I like owning my games and I like preserving good old games.

Every time I buy a game I make a choice based on those criteria.

I don’t like owning games twice.

The choice isn’t always easy, but that’s OK.

Yes, pretty much this. I have the 8bitdo’s Pro controllers (the first one and the 2) and I’m pretty happy with them. But that’s me.

That’s what I’m hoping, too. A collaboration between Valve and Framework, with iFixit for good measure. I’m expecting that the processor and motherboard will be custom designed, but I’m also hoping that the hardware will be repairable and upgradable.

Because it doesn’t make business sense to them. The author of the article makes just two arguments and assumes those are the only relevant arguments. There’s a lot more involved in the decision to port GOG Galaxy to Linux. Like support, for example.

Personally, since proton got so good and heroic can just use any version of proton installed, I’ve began to buy GOG games again and run them through heroic. 99% of the time they just run OK. But of course I do my due diligence and check protondb before making a purchase.
