Should copy law be updated so that if something like this is considered transformative then it can be monitised, however because it uses another ip a fixed percentage minimum is due to the ip holder. I imagine there are a lot of pros and cons, but it could be an answer to huge corps hoarding and in many cases ruining beloved IPs.
