An outlet like foxnews would no longer be governed by profit interested monorities. Of course most journalists on there have conservative ideology. Still, they would be bound to work in democracy which means that a majority would have to sign off on lies if they were to be published. That is a significant hurdle and also is unlikely to happen because they would be easily disprovable due to the significantly smaller size without the billions in assets.

Well regulated is an oxymoron. You cant give regulators control over the media under threat of them being compromised. Media must always be independent and democratic. Meaning all private media firms must be dismantled and only horizontally governed media collectives can be permitted. Meaning that all participants in a media outlet are equal and decide in qualified majority over their actions. Of course this doesnt mean independent journalists cant be a thing. Just not large, for profit corporations with hierarchies.
