Watched some gameplay of this, it seems like the same basic survival crafting game we’ve seen 1000 times, but this time pirate themed.

It’s called Space Run. You have to make space ship runs and configure your ship for the best combination of speed, defense, and offense.

Most of the time when I get a game for free I don’t value it as much. There are some exceptions, I’ve gotten into a few giveaways like Dead Island 2 and Lord of the Rings Return to Moria.

But mostly I want gaming to be convenient. Steam is very convenient and has some really great sales. I recently found a space tower defense game I wanted to try and it was 0.79 on sale. Less than a dollar.

I’ve gotten into a handful of them. I appreciate the games but modern Epic sucks big-time. They and Sweeney used to be among the best, pioneers.

That explains a lot of his bad takes in recent years.

I always go to Steam to read the reviews for the free games that Epic gives away.

I don’t mind AI as long as it’s filtered through humans. Like don’t just generate something and ship it directly to the consumer. Use AI generated content as a stepping off point for what you want to create.

On the wrong side of nearly everything. Disappointing, he was a gaming pioneer. Now just a petty greedy corpo.

Minecraft, Star Sector, Dwarf Fortress until recently. Stores like Epic and GOG and itch.io.

Plus Steam gives you content distribution, discussions, patches, all for free.

Spiderman Remastered is like $23 right now, but took many years to get that low.

That’s weird. Maybe it’s a performance issue, they squeeze a few more FPS with narrower views.

Been waiting years at this point. Hope it happens soon.

And if you play popular MOBAs then Windows is it.

I think Valve has a lot of good people there. Hopefully succession has been planned and leadership will go to someone as good as GabeN.

XP UI was great, security not great.

There are far too many gamers that will happily buy the yearly FC/FIFA or Call of Duty.
