Yeah quest 2. I haven’t side loaded it or anything yet as it’s a shared headset with the SO

Looks like I’m doing something right then!

Looks a lot like LFS!
Oh man, ams2 is miles ahead of assetto in terms of realism and tire physics. To me it’s much more like real cars. AC makes things unnecessary hard for the sake of “sim racing is hard” but irl it’s not actually like that.
Fellow sim racer! I asked quite a few similar questions on here before making the switch again (last time was 10 years ago and just on spare pcs that I put linux on). I am sorry I don’t have in depth knowledge to help you; Mint with oversteer seems to work ok with my dfgt. I have tested it in AMS2 and beamng and it has worked well. Have not installed AC yet. Maybe try a quick install of mint on a spare drive and see if it works there ? I’d do that since it seems easiest. Then you know if it’s distro related.

Dropdown bug still happens even in win10

To add, is it bad to have all these running on one machine ? Steam, Heroic, lutris, will it cause issues ?

I thought the same! I wonder if there will be wheel support and in cockpit view

How do you adjust your ffb or steering radius settings ?

How did you get AC to run?? I’ve tried every proton instance and proton ge, it will not launch at all. And I haven’t even started trying to get content manager working which seems pretty hard.

Thank you! Maybe I need bottles. I have wine, and proton.

Ill have to try again! I thought anti cheat borked it

Amd fx 8 core cpu and rx580… really shouldnt be any issues. Never had Nvidia.
I should have specified, gtav online doesn’t work.
You’re lucky! I’ll keep tinkering. Still going to have to upgrade to 11 soon to keep using my wheel and playing any vr or pubg though. Someday!

I must play different games than most on linux, because so far I’ve had issues with
-Assetto corsa -iRacing -Automobilista 2 -Lego racers -(Obviously pubg and gtav are a no go, as well as lethal company) -Diabolical
More than I’m forgetting. Agreed proton helps but it’s still way too glitchy to be daily used by me. Its fine to tinker but trying to get any games working while your friends wait on you is just a pain. Especially in any game with mods.
I wish it was as easy as people say! It is fun once something gets working though, feels like a huge accomplishment on linux if a game even starts up for me. I’d love to leave windows behind but I don’t see it happening soon.

Do the dual boot and test it. For now, it’s mint when I want to tinker and be happy 1 game out of 300 works, and windows when I want to actually play any games.

It’s true they’re easier in a way, but there will be bugs. For example i thought lego racer would be easy. Indeo codes crashed the game instantly. Had to search for a fix. Now intro video loads but very choppy, and the menu only has sound and the screen goes black. All amd hardware too, on mint. Unless you like to tinker a lot, just dual boot for now.

Wonderful, hopefully I can get this working!
Wanted to try bazzite but on my 13 year old cpu and mobo it wouldn’t boot. Mint ran perfectly.
