I mean like even taking all that at face value. Do you not worry about the only way you have to talk to friends being discord? What if your account got banned? You’d have no way to contact anyone? I’d exchange numbers with a few of them atleast. Or emails. Having a backup way to communicate seems pretty important instead of relying entirely on a single service run by an unreliable company.

If you ever went to China you’d realize not only is it the safest country on Earth, but the police there are very nice, and understanding. People are treated with dignity. Even if you break the law they take your character and circumstances into account. There’s a reason the government has such high approval ratings there. It’s a common thing there for people to not be worried about issues such as AI because they say, “Well the government won’t let anything bad happen.” They fully trust that to be true. Because the track record is so good.

If your game currently runs on your hardware with your distro then it is very unlikely it will stop running unless you change your handware or your software (like a major update). Can I promise 32 bit will be supported forever? No. But it’s certainly not going to suddenly stop working because of this.

The thing is though that now build quality is going to matter WAY more. Like you need that laptop chassis built like a tank. Which is harder to find in new devices these days.
