I, too, am barely older than Doom, but this chud is huffing nastolgia. New tech is at the edge, practically by definition.
That said, I’m not really sure what DLSS 5 is supposed to do beyond a vague “it makes games look better!” Kinda annoying for a performance hit when it’s not even clear what the goal is.
It does suck that the art of optimization has been largely lost. I dream of the performance we could have if developers took it seriously.
