Native controller support is exiting!

Luanti plays great on SteamDeck, but setting up the controls has required some experience with Steams controller to keyboard mapping tools.

Ale and Tale Tavern is great co-op fun, and terribly cozy. It’s primarily fantasy themed overcooked, but with much chiller vibes.

There’s optional adventurer stuff, but it is pretty light, there’s good accessibility settings, and the adventuring can be delayed until stronger gear is available or done cooperatively, making it much easier.

Over time, you can upgrade your gear and decorate the tavern.

If anything, the game’s flaw is just that it’s relatively short, for an economy simulation game.

(6 to 8 hours with my group unlocked everything. We played past the end for maybe another two hours just for the chill vibes.)

I had these runs early on, as well - where the rock I need to win simply is not present, or is so rare that I would have needed to be an expert to mine it.

They seem to have improved the randomizer, since then. I haven’t had that happen, lately - where the ore I need is too rare.

Also, mods that slash the ammo refill costs to 40 go a long way toward making DRG a much more relaxed gameplay.

And there is an accessible game play mode available that turns off the dome defense portion of the game, as well.

Voxlibre has solid cozy / accessible settings, and great multiplayer support. (And is free!)

I would have loves Terraria with combat turned off. Thanks, I didn’t realize that’s an option, now.

+1 to Palworld. The difficulty/accessibility settings are very good for achieving co-op chill vibes.

Wayfinder is very playable solo.

You’ll still probably only like it if you liked World of Warcarft, I imagine. It’s a clear (and very nice) tribute.

Oh. Yes. I found that confusing, too.

I think the discount displayed is always off of full price? So it might actually not be a discount for me, at all, compared to one of the bundles I could complete.

I do like that it grabs me the best price - when I put it in my cart - but it has surprised me when the bundle ended up in my cart.

If the bundle is even 0.1% cheaper than the base price of the game, that price and percentage takes priority when displayed in your wishlist, which makes no sense at all.

I think that makes perfect sense. It’s the best possible price, it should get priority.

I have had it save me money several times by steering me to a “complete your bundle” that was a better discount than the sale price.

They should fix their sale percentage calculation, though.

When I have had something previously working to not working with no known changes, it has usually been failing hardware, for me.

Keep an eye on your heat - both in the PC itself, and in the charging cord (if a laptop).

What’ll get really bad is when the hardware OEMs become insolvent due to high prices killing consumer demand for their products, and then we are left with few to no options for PC parts.

They’re certainly on their way. The Raspberry Pi foundation, and many clones give me hope for a future for personal “hobby” computing, at least.

Raspberry Pi with Android Open Source Project is the best privacy option. It’s quite a bit of work to get tuned, but nice afterward.
