I’m concerned about all the shader mods - they’ll probably all be borked until their respective devs rewrite them for vulkan

I have Valve Index on Linux and it’s not good experience. Headset fails to start, often performance issues happen on AMD due to some sort of unfixed issue in open source driver. Sometimes things just don’t work and you don’t know why.

Additionally more recent Linux distros running Wayland are known to have issues too. The only wayland desktop that works reasonably well is KDE

That said I don’t know how is the experience on other headsets, but as far as Valve Index goes, the improvement happens at snails peace

Basically anything with AMD GPU or Intel GPU. You should avoid dual GPU systems as they’re known to have issues with Linux.
