It’s too bad you weren’t big on SotE, I really enjoyed it. Getting all achievements in Elden Ring is really fun, I’d definitely recommend it. It’s not like trying to do it in Dark Souls III or something, it’s actually doable.

Yeah those archers are infamous for sure. It’s definitely worth it to stick it out though, the following area is awesome. Plus the end of Anor Londo has one of the best bosses in the series.

Alright I stuck with it and just beat Ornstein and Smough on my third or fourth try, feeling pretty good! I now see why people speak of them so fondly, pretty decent boss fight.

Nice job! They’re probably not as impactful now as they were back in 2011, but they used to be one of the most controversial bosses back in the day due to their difficulty. Coming from Elden Ring, they’re really not so hard now, but given the only soulslike before DS1 was Demon’s Souls, which is a fair bit easier at least as far as bosses are concerned, it makes sense it was really hard at the time. Plus, they’re only really a midway boss so it really is a bit of a brick wall if it’s your first soulslike (or second coming from DeS).

I hope you finish the game and play the DLC. Just keep in mind the game ends once you beat the final boss, and automatically spits you into NG+, so make sure you’ve done everything you want to do before that final boss (DLC, Painted World if you haven’t already, any other optional stuff).
