GOG is exploring the possibility of bringing back boxed PC games by letting customers order physical editions directly from their digital libraries. However, the idea remains in its early stages, with logistical challenges and publisher approvals still standing in the way. In the meantime, the company is taking smaller steps to revive the appeal of classic big-box editions.
I would prefer boxed open source games that come with a manual, a little bit of art and a list of contributors and donors along with a printed tutorial for gameplay mechanics and instructions where to download it but no actual game. I mean I guess a flash drive with a predownloaded copy is fine to include but I don’t know, I think we can be more creative than nostalgic about this.
Greed.
Higher up i gave the idea of usb cards, it would be cool if they have holo prints on them.
