Yeah, I feel that. I think Darkwood really benefits from the semi-permadeath of Hard mode to keep the tension and fear up (even though I was too much of a wuss to go through with that). But even without the atmosphere was just so unsettling.
Just finished playing Darkwood. Was a very unique little game.
Planning on playing Baurotrauma or Zomboid next if I can wrangle some friends
