Since the article does not bother to define the acronym: BDS is Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, a movement in support of Palestine.

Thanks. I read the article specifically to understand what this actually meant, and left with the open question.

Good for them, taking a stand may not amount to much (as far as changing Microsoft’s course), but it’s the right thing to do.

I love Towerfall. It’s not entirely wrong, but a bit weird to read a description of the game as “Super Smash Bros. but make it archery”. Because people would think its a fighting game… which it is not.

Since Xbox Play Anywhere games have been a thing. Not sure how long that has been. 4ish years?

All I know is that I can apparently play and install Xbox games on SteamOS now using a vibe coded app.

Play Anywhere exist about 11 years now, but it was named Live Games before. They changed the branding to Play Anywhere later, but its the same since launch. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_Live_games_on_Windows_10

This is a different issue and has nothing to do with Play Anywhere. They reverse engineered the XBOX libraries to be able to login into XBOX and use the API to connect and play the games native on Linux (including SteamOS).
