It runs but has a lot of issues. According to the compatibility list, it’s tagged as ingame rather than playable because it runs poorly and has visual problems.
The first game runs perfectly fine up until one of the first missions on the last island. When I first played it on RPCS3 and got to that mission, it’s visual bug when an enemy gets a giant aura like Longshadow from DC that causes the game to crash. The fix was actually really easy (though I don’t remember what it is now) and it made the game work flawlessly.
Infamous 2, however, would only work for me when I chose the Good start. I did two playthroughs of 1 for Good and Evil, but in 2 I could only complete the Good side of the game. Anytime I tried to start a new game from the Evil start, I would make it about 30 seconds and then the game would completely freeze with no way out other than to close the program.
Yeah, it’s strange that way. Was playing through Heavenly Sword on it; hard lock three times in the prologue, and then no issues for the rest of the game. PS3 seems a harder thing to emulate than the PS4, must be that crazy CPU.
RPCS3 can do Infamous 1 & 2, its just not optimized according to the Wiki
