What do I think? Well, according to that marketing video, a game someone always wanted to make is - an extremely bland and basic looking space corridor shooter? Okay then.
Unity is apparently hell bent of enshtifiying gaming development until it’s dead.

Until Unity’s dead?
Because game development will never dieThis remind me of the a promo video that i saw awhile back that supposedly showcase game development with AI prompt and it was just the developer fighting the AI hallucination every step of the way during the character design.
Taking away the learning, the sense of progression and the very soul of things.
I’m not convinced.Of course! Absolutely! Always!
It’s impossible to be “convinced” by this utter narrow-minded, degrading, obliterating, permanently damaging sorrow…
Art has meaning, weight, priceless value, the purpose… only when it’s of a human work…
Regardless, whether it’s an asset, texture, shape, shader…
This is all what is to be preserved in the history…
Of the history of us, miracles, human…It would then have a Human’s name on it…
Who lived, learned, experienced… and expressed their unique view in a work to pass further…
The artist’s name may not be advertised, but it would exist and always possible to find to glorify…
Since isn’t it one of the main purposes of Art? To achieve, experience, to express and learn from each other…Now, it has no name on it. It’s empty. It radiates with screams and cries in painful sorrow… of unknown effort and love now decimated and passed through an algorithm of shallow hopelessness at vacuumed void…
If I ever see anything related to AI in any art-related subjects, I don’t even consider it but skip it - it’s a disgusting empty noise that does not deserve any human time nor effort.
All these “AI” infestations are pure awful disrespect to our ancestors, the Human history… and our dear future…
And I will never consider it. It would mean death to me, since there’s no hope nor purpose in it to live for.
Now AI can produce a thousand AAA games in a session which will be more than we can ever play, and it will be useless again.
Meanwhile Epic’s AI strategy is to license most of 6 as MIT.
Got a source for that? It’d be fascinating if UE6 was available under a permissive license that didn’t require paying a licensing fee to Epic.
Might have been here https://youtu.be/xXGSvLH9zAs though I don’t know if it’s actually mentioned or I read it somewhere else.
But it’s not the engine, rather it’s pieces and parts that can be used in other engines.
My hope is that it allows Godot to grow.
