Any recommendations, especially if historic lows?
Thief, Thief II, Thief: Deadly Shadows, any Legacy of Kain title, System Shock 1 and 2, Shadow Tactics, Desperados III, Arcanum, Pillars of Eternity, Deus Ex GOTY Edition, The Thaumaturge, Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force, The Saboteur, Sleeping Dogs, Psychonauts 1 and 2, Anachronox, and Defender’s Quest to name a few.
I remember playing thief:deadly shadows as a kid (early teens?), and thinking it was OK… Until I got to the creepy ass zombies, at which point I noped out and never touched a thief game again.
If you wanna get sucked into one of the best stories in gaming: Legacy of Kain.
Start with Blood Omen, then Soul Reaver 1&2 remastered, Blood Omen 2 maybe but it’s optional, then Defiance remastered.I have played them but it was ages ago when they were new. I’m not certain the gameplay will hold up for me, to be perfectly honest. I’ve had this problem trying to go back to other older games.
Imma be frfr, it absolutely doesn’t. Worse yet, I managed to soft lock Defiance but in a way where the trigger and the consequences were several hours apart. Don’t wanna go back to that game again.
The story does hold up, but man the gameplay is a drag sadly :(

Not a historic low but I bought Yet Another Zombie Survivors after playing the pirated version for a week. I can tell I’ll easily get 40+ hours out of it which is worth the asking price for me.
It’s pretty different from that one and unfortunately not on this sale at all, but I presume that you’re already aware of Project Zomboid. People get hundreds to even thousands of hours out of it, plus it’s a great co-op game.
It looks interesting but I’ve yet to find a crafting-style game that has managed to stick. I wish these types of games appealed to me but I think I’m stuck in the narrative and roguelite genres with the occasional racing/rocket league game.
That’s fair. If it helps, the crafting aspect of Zomboid is only a fraction of the game. The depth and atmosphere are amazing.

Yes, the announcement is new. I think he (or she) mixed it up with the articles popping up that a Linux client might be in work, due to speculation. So it didn’t felt like news when it was official.
There is heroic games launcher and Lutris so who needs a official client?
I use Lutris, and it works really well. A native Linux client would definitely be welcome, though!
Heroic uses heroic-gogdl in the background. Maybe that tool does not support everything the official client would? Would be curious to see what the differences are.
It tracks your playtime, registers chieves, and uploads saves to the cloud. Oh and updates your stuff.
So that’s not the actual difference, right?
