Hopefully they completed the story this time. First game felt like the script stopped halfway.
You did do the office job though, yes?
Of course. Problem is, after the real end credits, so many plot threads are left up in the air. The hiss is still in the oldest house, Polaris is now inside Jesse without any consequence, the board continues business as always, Dylan is just back in his cell, still crazy/corrupted, Darling is still missing, and the DLCs sidestep almost ALL of the open questions, while opening new ones. Why introduce the power struggle between the former and the board, if it goes nowhere? Also, why start a plotline with the board possibly being evil, if it again goes nowhere.
I played Control three times over the years. The first time it was an amazing experience.
The second time I wanted to start a new game, but many in game accomplishments and abilities were already there, and simply deleting the save files did not work. It was like New Game Plus that I did not want. After consulting a couple of internet guides it became complicated. But since I had the gog version I simply installed it fresh without Galaxy, but no, my first play through left a bazillion files all over my hard drive that the fresh install immediately grabbed. It was a chore to delete every single thing.
And fter ten hours th game crashed. And since the game has this fucked up save game system it corrupted every save game. Suddenly my inventory had stuff in it with the name 2563|']|€%{+[ or equivalent. Missions were reset or completed or just gone etc. Fuck this.
The third time everything went well, but I seem to have missed a file to delete, after five hours suddenly my stats went up like crazy.
I get it, the Devs don’t want you to save scum I guess, but they at least should let you save the game at occasion manually, without relying on a thousand different factors in the background.
I’m done with this developer. It was a great game, but everything else still gives me the creeps. I will pass on this one.
