In this guide I will help to to properly setup Cyberpunk 2077 mods (prevent redscript complain about not having Codeware installed errors and render plane issue)
- Prerequisite/Dependencies:
- Protontricks https://github.com/matoking/protontricks
- Mod Organizer 2 (exe version) https://github.com/ModOrganizer2/modorganizer
- Launcher preferably Faugus Launcher https://github.com/Faugus/faugus-launcher
- Steam
- Protonplus https://github.com/Vysp3r/ProtonPlus
- Optiscaler-Client https://github.com/Optiscaler-Client/Optiscaler-Client/releases/tag/OptiscalerClient-1.0.7
- Mods
- RED4ext https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/2380
- ArchiveXL https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/4198

- Step 1: install Mod Organizer 2:
Firstly open Protonplus install latest Proton-EM (install latest version with number do not choose latest or the mods will break every auto update only update if only have to then redo Step 3 again)
- Open Faugus Launcher then add APP/Games add games executable to ModOrganizer.exe (I use Cyberpunk cover art because I play the game from Mod Organizer 2)
also add a prefix directory choose your downloaded Protom-EM as proton

- Go to tools section then add this WINEDLLOVERRIDES=“winmm,version,icuuc,icuin=n,b” to Game Augments

- Click on “Launch Setting” then add this 2 lines (click on an empty field then enter when you done) “PROTON_USE_FSR4=1” “FSR4_UPGRADE=1”

- click on OK then launch Mod Organizer 2
- Open Faugus Launcher then add APP/Games add games executable to ModOrganizer.exe (I use Cyberpunk cover art because I play the game from Mod Organizer 2)
also add a prefix directory choose your downloaded Protom-EM as proton
- Step 2: run Mod Organizer 2 that you just configured
- on your first time Mod Organizer 2 will ask for Cyberpunk 2077 game directory

- on Mod Organizer 2 window install all the mods I listed above
for now close Mod Organizer 2 then follow the next step
- on your first time Mod Organizer 2 will ask for Cyberpunk 2077 game directory
- Step 3: open Steam go to Library then click on “Add a Game” then " Add a Non-Steam Game"
- Click on Browse and locate Cyberpunk 2077 executable (Cyberpunk 2077/bin/x64/Cyberpunk2077.exe) then click on " Add Selected Programs"

- Click on the gear icon of Cyberpunk2077.exe then Properties go to Compatibility and choose Proton-EM you downloaded from Protonplus close the window then launch game once after it’s on the main menu close it

- now open Protontrick you should see Cyberpunk 2077 double click on it

- you should see Winetricks window appear then Select the default wineprefix

- a new window appear select Install a Windows DLL or component then select on “d3dcompiler_47” and vcrun2022 click on OK then wait, a few prompt appear you just click on next and OK when it done it should kick you back to “Install a Windows DLL or component” window then close it
- now go back to Mod Organizer 2 then launch Cyberpunk 2077 in windowed mod or borderless window CET will ask for a key bind I bind mine to " ` " key (pic from CET wiki)

- you should be good to go for modding
- Click on Browse and locate Cyberpunk 2077 executable (Cyberpunk 2077/bin/x64/Cyberpunk2077.exe) then click on " Add Selected Programs"
- Step 4: to install FSR 4.1.1b open Optiscaler-Client click on Add Manually then choose Cyberpunk2077.exe hover on it then click on Manage for FSR select 4.1.1b it might default to 4.1.1 then install
- open the game from Mod Organizer 2 when in-game go to settings>graphics and choose any up-scaling option I choose FSR4

- close the setting then press Insert key the Optiscaler should appear choose Upscalers to FSR 3.X/4 and FFX to FSR 4.1.1b click on save settings and we should be all done.

- open the game from Mod Organizer 2 when in-game go to settings>graphics and choose any up-scaling option I choose FSR4

Much easier to use Amethyst mod manager actually mod Cyberpunk, though the rest of the guide should function similarly.
