    I agree with you, but the point I’m trying to make that most people here are missing, is that we are a minority. The average player is fine with and already has discord, and there’s an argument to be made it provides less friction than making users sign up on a website or send an email.

      Perhaps, but it blocks a segment of your customers, and that segment is often the more adept…

      And, to be perfectly honest, the segment most likely to buy… Or to just flat pirate things and discuss them on forums with pirates rather than talking to you and payihng for your work if there are too many roadblocks thrown in their face because you are trying to reduce “friction” by cutting out anyone not using the most popular method.

      I’ve also seen people set up a Matrix server that gets relays from multiple other places, or having bots redirect things to their Mastodon, giving peolple the ability to contact them from anywhere and let them reply from a central hub…

      Though I’ve opted out of Discord linking because the idjits running it can’t keep from losing their data every time I look in that direction.
