At first I wanted to recommend this platform as it looked promising. After the first comments I took a deeper look at the project and must say: interesting but worrisome. I skimmed the repository and it somewhat looks like a total car crash spiked with red flags.

To be clear: I don’t think that vibecoding is per se a problem, the extend to which it is used and by whom in which manner/workflow/procedure makes a difference.

Anyhow. I leave this post online as I still think the idea of an federated business network made in EU is worth something.

BizzFed looks like a professional network — and works like one. Profiles, company pages, job listings. What’s different underneath: every account lives on an instance. Many instances talk to each other via ActivityPub.

I’m curious how they will evolve and how many instances will show up. I could imagine companies preferring BizzFed over custom mastodon instances, as it supports more than regular posts, and the profiles are more expressive.

Edit: project is vibecoded and has a history of security issues, related to that. I don’t know if the approach of development was changed since then and if their QA and methodology got better.
