I know I get that, its just that Alice is both the name of the game and the name of the character, one of which he created and the other he didn’t. There’s not a great way to phrase it, but it makes it sound like he created the character Alice, which he did not.
In no sense of the word would anyone ever say he created Alice. It could be called an interpretation, not quite an adaptation, but probably just based on characters by Lewis Carroll.
That’s some creative thinking and writing style. I wouldn’t mind if that is a one off title, and take it with some humor. But I get what you are saying (the title is not clickbait).
Yes legally that is the full title, but in the actual logo art it’s a very small “American McGee’s” and a big “Alice”. Kind of like all the “Sid Meier’s” games. They’re named like that because they didn’t want to risk trademark problems with simple names.
Calling American McGee “Alice creator” with no additional context is a bit absurd.
I mean, his game is called “American McGee’s Alice.” Saying “American McGee’s Alice creator, American McGee” is a bit wordy and repetitive.

She is named after and inspired by the Alice of Lewis Carrol’s books, but she’s a very different take on her. He created this version of her.

As far as title artistic licences go this case is by far on the good side in today’s age - it’s not even:

Lmao 😂
You really have nothing else going on in your head?
Says the person whose only contribution to the thread is insulting others. Fuck off.
Youve insulted multiple people in this post. But nice try.

Also sounds funny
The article contains all the context that is needed. You can’t have a full blown article as a title.
Literally didn’t say that. Thanks for that useless input.

Dude thinks 19 words is too short for a headline or something
