This is more exciting to me than the other hardware announcements. Linux on a phone that can have both a desktop mode and gaming right in my pocket? It’s the dream.


Now? It’s sucked for a very long time.

Honestly, switching to amd is a better solution than trying to shoehorn a device into an ecosystem who’s creators aren’t aligned with it. Nvidia and their GPUs continue to be this giant sore spot for Linux all because of Nvidia’s choices. Continuing to contribute to their monopoly and anti consumer practices won’t be changing anything either, but folks eat up the hype for their over priced crap because tech YouTubers tell you to.


Arch users are typically pretty assholish and very outspoken. They love telling people that need help to RTFM which makes the Linux community harder to be a part of.


Good old Nvidia… Artificial segmentation is their real talent.

Linux runs games faster even outside of Steam OS.


Pop! OS with big screen mode on second display/workspace is the best of both worlds.


No game needs access to my kernel. The games that require it are usually mtx farms and not worth playing in the first place.


Inkscape is a better vector application than Illustrator. User friendliness arguments tend to come from users raised on Adobe and expecting alternatives to work the same way.


The deck, to me, is the prefect gaming PC.
