Everything on Steam has controller support thanks to the awesomeness of Steam Input

I guarantee that people have already been playing this game on PC with controller just fine for years.

Whenever I see “AI-assisted”, it means it’s entirely from prompts to an LLM. If lucky, it’s then reviewed by someone competent, but usually not.

In relation to this game I don’t really know anything about their dev process so I don’t try to claim anything besides devs own words

Game is decade+ old, original dev studio is claimed to be dead, franchise is taken over by capital, last patch is decade old. Some fairly good news is nice anyway

I just noticed that noone at Lemmy brought up the news, so here it is

In the Steam post about the new updates, the new dev team is pretty open about using AI, so it’s not putting words in anyone’s mouth. Just an FYI.

Another thing I found interesting is that these new devs are the same ones that work in Torchlight Infinite. I know that game wasn’t well received at launch, but if it’s still going, maybe they’ve fixed their issues, so there could be cause to be hopeful about them fiddling with the old games.

Nice! I don’t plan to play it anytime soon, but the install size is only 1.7GB so I will download it just in case I need a little hack & slay on my next travel.
