When it comes to bike equipment, I’d prefer ortlieb any day though. Bag is way sturdier and better designed, especially the mounting system

My 2 month old Ortlieb bags mounting system broke, on a bike tour 2000km away from home in southern France. I tried to call and wrote to their service, asking where I could get replacement parts. Never got an answer.

Only thanks to the friendly bike shop “Cyclable Lyon 7” who even called his competitors to find someone who could help me, and the lovely bike shop “Velo Station Lyon Saxe” who disassembled a perfectly new bag for replacement parts I was able to continue my tour.

I totally understand that products sometimes break, even if they are new and of good quality. But I don’t understand why you can’t be bothered to respond to a simple email if I bought your bags for over 150€.

Vaude is a very good brand. I went to Iceland, Scotland and 10year going to work by bike with their bag. Never had a single leak.
