At that price, it will hardly have any effect on global market share. I had hopes too, before the prices went up and destroyed any hope.
The real Year of Linux is, when China bans Windows.
Wonder if some of this is people not playing their steam decks as much anymore? I remember there being a surprisingly significant bump in Linux useage when that released. A lot of handhelds kind of have a honeymoon phase before collecting dust on a shelf, and maybe getting picked up again if you have a long flight or something, and then returning to the shelf.
It’s more likely that in China more Windows users came in, than Linux globally. People say it could be because of internet cafes, I don’t know, maybe.
