Hi everyone,

I’m working on Crazy Sky, a FREE 4-player multiplayer arcade flight game.

Crazy Sky has native clients for Windows, Linux and Android. The game has its own dedicated servers, but it can also be played over LAN.

I’m currently looking for Linux players who would like to try the game and give some feedback.

If you find any bugs or have suggestions, please post them in the comments of this thread. Feedback is welcome and will help with development.

Website: https://crazysky.cybopat.net/

Thanks for checking it out!

I’m starting out my solo game dev journey myself so I thought I’d give this a go because feedback is important.

It gives me Pilotwings vibes and I played the shit out of that when I was younger.

    Here’s my thoughts:

Great start. I think the turning circle should be reduced, it feels very wide and impossible to recover from when approaching terrain you didn’t see coming from the side.

I think movement should be sped up a bit, roll and yaw. Not Ace Combat levels but increase it as it feels quite sluggish.

Option to speed up like a boost would be good. (Unless that’s there and I missed it).

I think it would be good to add SOME physics like if you dive you speed up, climb slow down.

Feel free to send me a DM if you like but great start and keep it up!

Oh and in playing on Nobara, downloaded the gz and all good.

Cool project but the flight feels awful, can’t change inverted controls, sounds are at different volumes, graphics looks horrible unlike your recent 3d pieces (mech cloud and tripod). Just make it a browser game an put it on itch.io I refuse to install .deb as I am on fedora. proton works instead.

Thank you very much for the feedback.

I’ll add an option to invert the elevator controls (up/down arrow keys) to the setup.

I’ll take a look at the sound levels as well — that’s a good point. 👍

I didn’t create the graphics (the models), but I think they fit the concept of an arcade flight game quite well. That said, graphics and music are always a matter of personal taste. 😀

Since I’m completely new to the Linux community, thanks for broadening my horizons regarding Linux distributions. I’ve now added a TAR.GZ download option as well. 💡

I must disagree. You can tell bad graphics and graphics not to taste apart. You can feel the deliberate decisions made by the artist even if that decision is kitsch.
