Sounds like getting rid of Steam gift cards won’t solve that problem, they can do the same with other gift cards or even entirely different methods. Is that worth it to exclude minors or other people with no other way to pay?

Um ganz fair zu sein: Björn Höcke tut das, wofür er bekannt ist, beruflich, somit ist es klar, warum er sich dessen, was er verbreitet, “nicht schämt” (seine berufliche Karriere ist eher davon abhängig als gefährdet).

Menschen, die beruflich irgendwas anderes tun, könnten für ihre politischen Äußerungen (welcher Richtung auch immer) unter Klarnamen evtl. schon unangenehme Konsequenzen spüren!

Ich finde, den letzten Satz kann man nicht anders interpretieren als so, dass die antisemitischen und antimuslimischen Hass-Posting zu Bedrohungen und Gewalt geführt haben. Man beachte “hätten”, nicht “hätte”. Die Kritik teile ich nicht.

I’m not a gaming dev, but a full-stack web dev; is it not common sense that data needs to be validated on the server side, not client? I don’t really get why client-side “anti-cheat” is a thing, but may be missing something.

Ich kann mich nicht erinnern, deinen Benutzernamen schon einmal gesehen zu haben. Kann sein, dass du schon manchmal auf meine Posts geantwortet hast; wenn ich auf 100% aller Kommentare auf meine Posts antworten würde, würden all meine Threads von wenig aussagekräftigen Kommentaren überschwemmt sein.

Der Account, der den Artikel gepostet hat postet immer mal wieder Artikel von dubiosen Seiten (er postet allgemein extrem viele Artikel) und reagiert bisher nie auf Kritik.

Bitte, mir zu zeigen, wie oft ich Artikel von “dubiosen Seiten” poste, absichtlich tu ich das bestimmt nicht. Ein paar Mal habe ich Kritik bekommen, wenn ich auf tarnkappe.info verlinkt habe, dieser Kritik stimme ich persönlich zwar nicht zu, aber ich hab z.B. hier https://discuss.tchncs.de/post/47979991/21767464 sehr wohl darauf reagiert (ich antworte aber nicht auf Kommentare, zu denen ich nichts weiteres Sinnvolles beitragen kann). Dass ich “extrem viele Artikel” poste, ist natürlich insofern richtig, als dass ich vieles, was ich Tag für Tag (vor allem, aber nicht nur, über Mastodon) einigermaßen Interessantes sehe, in passende Lemmy-Communitys poste, auch um hier etwas mehr Aktivität reinzubringen; mir wäre nicht bewusst, inwiefern das etwas Schlechtes sein könnte.

Vorratsdatenspeicherung halte ich aber für das weit geringere Übel gegenüber Chatkontrolle. Ich bin natürlich gegen beides, dennoch gibt es Abstufungen.
