They actually wanted to release SOONER. They wanted to do the whole shadow drop at the game awards and go “AVAILABLE NOW!” But it wasn’t ready yet. 😥
Then they went dead silent until the launch a few weeks later.

But that would give players a sense of, gasp, ownership! Can’t have that!

Hard to do that when you decimate the staff.

The worst part is, late in the game they reveal a tunnel system… that does nothing. You can’t access it, it’s just two holes in the ground. LOL.
Still a delight to play!

“11+ years of service — 36 months’ salary”
Man, I wish my company would do that, I’d resign, pay off my house! 😉 I’d even have money left over!

It was hilarious, and less of a control issue and more of a “2 death scenarios executing at the same time.”

Way back in the day, Tomb Raider, there was this pit, with a break away floor, and water beneath it.
Fell, hit the platform breaking her neck, then the platform dropped her in the water, twitching and drowning. It was horrifying!

Yup. This. To the point where, playing FFVII the first time I was like “Oh, shit, better not give Aerith anything important…”
I thought “surely they’re kidding about the dating thing…” Oh no, no you are not. In fact, the CEO brought it up TWO YEARS AGO…
The Destiny and Destiny 2 expansions were great… right up until the one that removed 1/2 the game.

Guild Wars 2 was on disc for me.

One to cross off your list is Anchor Hocking, my wife swears by them, but they are made in the US.

They can keep them.

How about this… Not “buying” a game that’s disabled if it’s no longer online…

Helps if you view it from the side:

Well, define “Reasonably Priced”. I dig the Steam Deck for that kind of thing.
Look for single player stuff, I found the Bioshock games incredibly well paced.

Good news! Used Switch 1 prices are about to crater…

The correct process would have been to issue a takedown request, then go after the domain if nothing was done, they just jumped the gun.
Never been a fan, but it’s basically a modern day RPG. Roll it to the future and you get Cyberpunk 2077.
