Have you tried verifying file integrity to make sure everything is actually installed? Either that or switching proton versions

Recoil is fun :3… it was one of the reasons I switched to using the bumper keys for aim/shoot, instead of the triggers lol

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it’s not necessarily bad afaik, but it is a hassle if you don’t use windows, so it’s not something I plan on putting up with really
Thankfully none of the games I play seem to be going that route (yet)

I used to wait for the shaders my first few weeks with linux. Now I just press the skip button, and over the years I’ve noticed no difference between waiting and skipping the rendering lol

I’ve been on pop!_os for 4ish years now, and in that time I had like… 3 issues with it, which is way less than I had with windows lol
Honestly if you’re picking one bazzite, mint, pop! and any of the others that are considered beginner friendly will probably be equally fine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Nice :3
I mostly just reinstalled it cause I couldn’t be bothered dealing with the permissions of flatpak, it’s definitely not a viable solution for everyone, I just figured I’d throw in my experience haha

I have a dualshock 4 too. Unfortunately I haven’t tried lego lord of the rings, so I can’t help troubleshoot with that
I had some issues with steam flatpak with some features (namely gyro) not working, so I switched to installing steam through apt, and I had no issues with the controller since except for one game where it won’t work in menus (worked fine in game) unless I boot the game up with steam input off, and then when the game loads - toggle it back on. Running it on a debian based system with x11

and I am pretty happy with it.
No reason to switch from the sound of it

I’ve been quite enjoying it :3… I tried out a few distros when I first started linux, but with tiling and the pop launcher pop!_os fit my workflow the best out of the box, plus I’ve only had like 1 major issue with it, so… it’s been pretty stable too ^^ (more stable than windows for me haha)
Definitely excited for their upcoming release too, since it’ll be coming with COSMIC :3

I have a ps4 controller and just plugging my headphones into the controller seems to route audio to it fine on pop!_os… I’d assume mint would be similar since they’re both based on ubuntu, but I’ve not tried

Don’t have the ps5 (had enough of sony with the ps4), but honestly the extra 700€ or whatever it works out for my setup when compared to the console was worth it just for the fact I don’t have to have my headphones cranked to max to hear the dialogue over the fans, let alone everything else that’s just plain better x3

Yeah, they’re quite similar, on one I can play online for free, get tons of indies and demos, play with any controller I want, as well as have access to a bunch of non-gaming features, and on the other… I have to buy giftcards to use the online store because despite the fact that the console is sold here there’s no option to register psn in the country, which means it won’t take my card
Almost unnoticeable :3 /s

Unfortunately nintendo lawyers are already on their way to send a cease and desist to OP for using their name in a lemmy post :(
Same same :3
The only time I had issues with my 3070 was when I was messing around with drivers, and fucked up some stuff, but that was easy enough to fix (and my fault for messing it up in the first place lol)
