Yes, Bazzite and Bluefin are more popular for sure. But I like Aurora as a daily driver (more for power users), and have Bluefin installed in other laptops and our TV’s miniPC for its “Chrome OS” feel and simplicity.
But any option is better than Mint, IMO. Mint feels unfinished and was not very stable. Aurora and Bluefin are the only linux distros that I haven’t broken in 24h. LOL
Mint feels a little sloppy, though.
I would much rather suggest Bluefin, which is from the same group as Bazzite. And if you are a fan of KDE (or a more Windows-like UI), then Aurora is an excellent one, too.
They are all atomic, so users can’t really mess them up.
To me, if I had to get a new monitor, it would 100% have to be 120 Hz at 4K OLED with HDR.
My TV and smartphone are both HDR with high refresh rates and it really puts my laptop and desktop monitors to shame.
Yeah, KF2 has a different “feel” to it for sure.
Speaking of enshittification, I tried out Payday 1 again… it’s so awesome to get in the game and play. Payday 2, as with KF2, went the way of DLC and presented the game as more of a marketing vector, rather than a product for entertainment.
The gaming industry really sucked the joy out of gaming with some of their decisions, and they only have themselves to blame.
KF1 was awesome. KF2 really stepped up the graphics… but then the enshittifcation began with DLC and adding pay-to-win content.
Because of that, I totally lost interest in KF3.
Borderlands 2 was amazing, and Borderlands 3 had amazing graphics. But I felt like there was no need to continue the franchise after that, and I’m actually surprised that they are.

I played it all the time for years after they made it available on standalone. Probably my most played game ever.
95% of the time, it’s a walking/running simulator. But the other 5% was so memorable. Granted, many of the bugs and issues it had in the beginning made it hard to forget, but I also experienced some wonderful, memorable gameplay!
